Thank you for your interest in partnering with us for our 8th Annual Shoes for School event.

The Family Worship and Praise Center CDC (Community Development Center) program has been dedicated to serving Tallahassee and its surrounding communities for over two decades. Over the last seven years, the CDC has provided approximately 40,000 brand-new pair of shoes for back to school. In 2024, we invested over $150,000 into our community’s children with shoes. This year, we are gearing up for our 8th Annual “Shoes4School” event on August 3rd, 2025, and seeking to invest $200,000.

As we know, footwear can be one of the most visible signs of poverty, and we at FWPC, believe that no child should encounter pain, humiliation, or a lack of confidence due to poor-looking or ill-fitting shoes. A fresh pair of shoes can be just what a child needs to feel confident and prepared to face the new academic school year. Providing new shoes not only builds confidence but also adds benefits like increased participation in sports and physical activity, access to education in that children are not missing school because of inadequate footwear, and reductions in school bullying.

This year, the Family Worship and Praise Center CDC aims to provide at least 7,000 students in Leon and surrounding counties, grades K-12, with a brand-new pair of shoes; however, we can only do this with your assistance. Listed below are sponsorship levels in which you can participate as well as give individual donations of any amount. Any amount that is donated will be greatly appreciated!
