What do we do?

Since 2017, more than 14,000 children in need have received a brand new pair of shoes through the Shoes4School Giveaway. This year, it is our goal to provide 5,000 more K-12 students of the Big Bend with quality footwear to sustain them through the school year. Alone, we can go quickly, but together, we can go far.

Our Mission

The mission of the FWPC Community Development Corporation is to provide social programming such as employability skills, entrepreneurial opportunities, nutritional needs, and academic literacy to families throughout the community. We work through collaborative efforts with community support agencies to promote food security, resiliency, preservation of empowerment, self-sufficiency, and civil engagement.

History Of Us

As we are aware, footwear can be one of the most visible signs of poverty and we believe that no child should have to encounter pain, humiliation or a lack of confidence due to poorly looking and/or ill-fitting shoes. A fresh pair of shoes, can be just what a child needs to feel confident and prepared to face the world!
